While I was walking home, a douchecanoe in one of these tailgated an SUV and sat an inch behind it at a stop sign (oh, how I wish the SUV rolled back). A pedestrian in front of me crossed and the SUV went. According to some weird thing called... THE LAW... I then had the right of way, so I started to cross and when I was less than a foot away from the Gibberish the douchenozzle floored it and tailgated the SUV again, like they were attached by an invisible magnet.

I was annoyed, and I tried to get over it. But less than 2 minutes after that incident, at another crosswalk with a stop sign, where I had the right of way, an old lady in a Camry engaged launch control (did you know Toyota equips Camrys with those now?) and grounded-to-the-ground past me, while I was already in the crosswalk. I turned on the “are you fucking kidding me” face as I stared her down. She smiled at me and gave me the thank you wave. Seriously?

So I was pissed off now, as my walk home from the subway station takes 10 minutes, but not even 3 minutes in I’ve been handed shit from 2 different drivers on 2 opposite ends of the cock-o-meter.

I don’t understand how people can be so inconsiderate. I get it if you’re in a rush to get home because Wednesday, but come the hell on, you’re not the only one trying to get home. And it’s not like you took the subway, you’re in a car with real seats and real AC and real air. And it’s a lovely +70° day today, why be a dick? The driving test needs to be revised.

Explanation: Maserati driver has definitely come from a 5 or a 7 Series. And that Camry driver? Well it’s a Camry driver.

I’m definitely glad you didn’t die, you need to get your license and an STi before you can happily die.

I was at an intersection the other day where left turn lanes went first and it was my direction’s turn for the lights. The lady next to me was looking at her crotch texting. The person across from me went, but then the second person just stopped. A person from the perepndicular direction FLEW INTO THE LANE AND BLATANTLY BLEW A RED LIGHT. The ONLY reasn why there wasn’t a crash is due to inattentiveness........what the actual fuck. Driving has gotten to the point where bad driving saves lives. Had ONE of those people turning left been doing things right, there would’ve been a crash.

People are a bit more considerate over here. Some even back up 3 feet if they were even less than a foot into the sidewalk, Since I walk back from work, it’s something I often notice. I’ve seen some impatient drivers however, who keep flipping me off when it’s open for me, and they don’t wait in the middle of the intersection, and blow right through.

i had a guy roll thru a stop sign this morning in an Audi. He didn;t even look but I saw it coming so I had come to a stop next to his window. Alll of a sudden he turns his head and sees me there and stomps on the brakes. and sits there. and doesn;t move. I would have had to back up to go around him so I yelled out the window to go.

Oh yeah, there are a few “fancy” cars here like the Gibberish, S65, 760Li, etc. but this is by no means a rich neighborhood. Which means the people who own those cars are blowing their paycheck by pretending they’re rich and all that, even though they’re clearly not.

when i walk to work , i technically have right of way when cars are turning left at intersections , but i find it is much easier to just let them go , don’t stress over it.
